TRACK AND FIELD 2011

Glen Park's 2nd Track and Field Day was a huge success!  The students had a great time and demonstrated great skill, enthusiasm and sportsmanship.  Everyone loved getting their participation ribbon at the beginning of the day and it was
great to see so many students adding ribbons to their shirts for the various events!! It was amazing to hear all of the students cheering on their school mates.  A huge thank you to Ms. Sherman and all of the parent volunteers - the day could not have run as smoothly as it did without you.

On Monday, May 16th, 51 students attended the TDSB Track and Field meet at Centennial. Although it was a rainy and cold day, we huddled under our tents and cheered our peers on!! Our students represented themselves and our school in an incredibly positive way!!  All of the parent volunteers and teachers were very proud of our students!!  Glen Park did amazingly well and there will be 9 students (from Grade 4-6) going to the Semi-Finals on June 6th.  Special mention to Ashley K and Daniel A who both placed FIRST in Shot Put!!  And again, a huge thank you to our parent volunteers!
